Oshun Seyi
Oshunseyi means “that which comes from water.” This name was given to her by Elders she learned and sang with while traveling around the earth.
Oshun’s profound love for water compelled her to write this book, as the sweet waters within and without are some of her eternal guides and inspirations. Oshun began singing and dancing at the tender age of four, and she later pursued a degree in the Performing Arts, specializing in Music and Contemporary Dance at Middlesex University in London, UK. During this time, Oshun traveled to the Sinai Desert in Egypt to live with the Bedouin and learn natural healing modalities and music as a form of medicine. It was in the waters of the Red Sea that Oshun encountered Olin, a wild dolphin, an encounter that would change the course of her life. This experience opened her heart profoundly, marking the beginning of Oshun’s journey of healing and experiential learning. Remaining an eternal student, Oshun continued to dance and sing professionally, traversing the globe, and learning from the Earth’s nurturing Mother and wise Elders. Today, Oshun utilizes her voice to sing sacred songs, facilitating sound healing sessions, and teaching the ancient practices of water blessings through personalized sessions. Currently, she is in the process of establishing a healing eco-retreat named ‘Sweet Waters’ in Jamaica. Collaborating with a creative collective of Artists and Herbalists, this refuge aims to be a space for all individuals.Oshun dedicates The Way of Beauty to the divine creator, the most high. instagram @oshunseyi
