Joie Goodkin
An entrepreneur from the age of eight, Joie Goodkin’s first business was renting comic books to her friends. She later founded, on her kitchen table, a countywide magazine in Florida, that she sold as part of a Wall Street underwriting. She also created a printing, graphic design and publishing company recognized nationally for its unique service and willingness to try anything to meet a deadline. Joie’s career and civic contributions have been recognized with at least 50 awards for her community service and business accomplishments.
How did she do it? Through clear-eyed determination leavened with good humor, respect for the talents of others and a down-to-earth sense of practicality. Joie loves telling a good story, and she shares her personal experiences in a highly readable narrative that includes priceless advice about how to succeed in business. Chapter titles include “Trust Your Intuition,” “Create Win-Win Situations,” “Pick Smart People and Let Them Do Their Jobs” and “Be Open to an Unexpected Awakening.” Included are 45 specific ways to achieve the reader’s goals, whatever they may be. This is her first book and she may be starting to scribble the next one!
